Leading the industry
is a role that we take very seriously at Lund
Boat Company. It is what pushes us to create
better boats that provide you with more pleasure
and value. It is what drives us to innovate new
ideas that make boating more enjoyable and
fishing more productive. If you look at the
features introduced in our industry over the
last several decades, you are going to see that
the vast majority of meaningful advances have
been developed in New York Mills, Minnesota, at
the Lund plant. That is where we’ve been for more
than a half century, and that is where we are
going to continue to develop the best boats you
can buy.
And it’s going to be easier now thanks to the
great resources and technological advantages
we’re already receiving from our new parent
company, Brunswick Corporation. We all know
about the great Brunswick name, so it should
come as no surprise that Brunswick is a Fortune
500 Company with a long history of remarkable
success. It’s also important to know that
Brunswick is one of the most influential
corporations in the marine industry, and so the
fit with Lund could not be better.
For you that means better boating, because we
are in our strongest position ever to build the
boats you expect from the industry leader. As
you look through this catalog, just imagine all
the great times ahead in your new Lund, and then
please talk to your Lund dealer about how we can
make it happen. |

It all began with a
hungry Finnish guy and a carving knife. It was
the 1930s when a simple fisherman made an
observation of simple genius: Big fish eat
little fish, especially little fish that are
wounded. So begins the greatest fishing story
ever told. As Lauri Rapala fished the waters of
Finland’s Lake Paijanne, he quietly rowed and
watched. And what he saw was how hungry predator
fish would dart into a school of minnows and
attack the one that swam with a slightly
off-center wobble. Over and over again...Read
the story.

Abu Garcia for tackle that stands their toughest tests.
It’s a trust that’s been earned by building products
right the first time, and making them even better time
after time. When you refuse to compromise on how you
design and build and perfect a product as Abu Garcia

The
Berkley story is deeply rooted in
the idea of the American Dream. It
is about humble beginnings and
unexpected success. It’s about hard
work, struggle, and tough times.
And it’s about building partnerships
to accomplish goals. Still, the
story of Berkley is much more than
the story of Berkley Bedell. It’s
also the story of Berkley’s
dedicated co-workers and loyal
customers, who were equally willing
to take risks. It all began in
Spirit Lake, Iowa, in June of 1937,
when 16-year old Berkley Bedell,
with his parents’ blessing, took
$50.00 from his paper route earnings
to start a business selling his
hand-tied flies to fishing tackle
shops and vacationing anglers. In
his upstairs bedroom, with hair
clipped from the family dog, Stubby,
and feathers from the backyard
chickens, young Berkley crafted
flies to entice local bluegill and
bass from their underwater cover.
The Berkley Fly Co. was founded. |

The name
comes from a lake in Washington State. And performance was the name of
the game from day one. On the shores of Lake Fenwick, a group of men
passionate about fishing dove head first into development of a rod that
would set the technological pace for generations of passionate anglers
to follow. As you read about our rich history, take note: their story is
not nearly complete, because Fenwick technology is always advancing.
